Performing Experience

Album Releases

On April 3, THE BOYZ released their second mini album THE START with the title track "Giddy Up." They later released the special digital single "Keeper" (produced by Block B's Park Kyung) on July 12. On September 5, they released their first single album THE SPHERE featuring "Right Here."

Major Achievements

In November, THE BOYZ entered the Greater China market through a contract with NetEase Cloud Music, becoming the first Korean artist signed by the platform. They won the Rookie Award at the Asia Artist Awards, released their third mini album THE ONLY with "No Air" as the title track, and received the Male Rookie Award at the Melon Music Awards. They were also nominated for Best New Asian Artist (Male) at the 2018 MAMA.

REVEAL Era

In February 2020, THE BOYZ released their first full-length album REVEAL, led by the title track "REVEAL."

Road to Kingdom Victory

From April to June, they participated in Mnet's survival program Road to Kingdom, ultimately winning first place and gaining increased public recognition.

CHASE Comeback

Following the program, THE BOYZ released the special album CHASE in June, featuring "The Stealer" as the title track. In September, they released the mini album CHASE (The Stealer), which further solidified their mature concept and performance-focused image. In December, THE BOYZ released the winter special single "Christmassy!", marking the end of the year with a festive concept.

Challenges & OST

On February 6, THE BOYZ members Eric, Younghoon, Hyunjae, Haknyeon, and Sunwoo tested positive for COVID-19 and completed isolation according to health authorities. They rested and continued to monitor their health afterward. On March 2, they performed the OST "Echo" for the anime Solo Leveling.

THE B-ZONE World Tour

On May 27, THE BOYZ released their second Japanese mini album SHE'S THE BOSS. Two days later, on May 29, they kicked off their world tour "THE B-ZONE" in Los Angeles, followed by stops in five U.S. cities and four European cities including London and Rotterdam. The tour concluded in Seoul from August 5–7 at the Olympic Gymnastics Arena.

PHANTASY Pt.3 & Activities

On March 18, THE BOYZ announced PHANTASY Pt.3: Love Letter, the third part of their second full-length album. They appeared on Neighborhood Star K4 on March 24. In May, they held a fan signing event in Qingdao, and member Jacob released his self-composed song "Summer Love."

New Beginning

In September, reports stated that THE BOYZ's contract with IST Entertainment would expire in mid-December. The group made a comeback in late October. On November 15, THE BOYZ signed an exclusive contract with One Hundred and began activities under the new agency from mid-December.

Tours & First Music Show Win

THE BOYZ launched their first Asia fan-con tour The Castle in January. In April, they released Bloom Bloom and won their first music show trophy. They later released the mini album DREAMLIKE in August.

Group Changes & Japanese Debut

In October, member Hwall departed due to health reasons, and the group continued as eleven members. THE BOYZ made their Japanese debut with TATTOO and concluded the year with the special single "White," followed by their first European tour DREAMLIKE in December.

Japanese Album & Collaborations

On March 17, THE BOYZ released their first Japanese full-length album Breaking Dawn. On July 11, they released the collaboration single "Drink It" with UNIVERSE.

THRILL-ING Success

On August 9, they released their sixth mini album THRILL-ING with the title track "THRILL RIDE," winning their first music show trophies on all three major Korean TV programs by August 20.

MAVERICK Era

On November 1, they released their third single album MAVERICK, sweeping the top spots on Music Bank, Music Core, and Inkigayo. They ended the year with the special single "Candles" on December 6.

BE AWAKE & PHANTASY

February 20: Released eighth mini album BE AWAKE with title track "ROAR". August 7: Released Part 1 (Christmas In August) of second full-length album PHANTASY, beginning their ambitious trilogy project with fresh concepts and innovative music production.

BE AWARE & Collaborations

On June 17, THE BOYZ released the collaboration single "Sweet" with UNIVERSE. On August 16, they released their seventh mini album BE AWARE with the title track "WHISPER," while member Kim Sunwoo paused activities due to health issues on August 30.

Awards & Performances

On November 8, they won Best Male Performance at the 2022 Genie Music Awards. They released the special single "All About You" on December 6, performed at 2022 AAA in Japan on December 13, and appeared at the 2022 MBC Gayo Daejejeon on December 31.

Group Changes

In June, member Ju Hak-nyeon left the group and terminated his contract.

8th Anniversary Celebration
